Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ exhibition of art collections to open at The Art Center

Cornel Rubino's untitled watercolor and ink on paper is one of the pieces to be included in "Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Art Faculty Collections" which will open at 6 p.m. Friday, May 29, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts, School of Art and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Friends of the Visual Arts will open "Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Art Faculty Collections" at 6 p.m. Friday, May 29, in the Ledbetter Gallery of The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

"This exhibition showcases the fine art that is collected by our Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ art faculty and staff," said Christian Cutler, director of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ galleries.

Included are sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints and photography by nationally and internationally recognized artists.

"The show, which will run through Sunday, June 28, will be of great interest to our summer patrons and to our arts community," Cutler said. "It will give people an opportunity to see a diverse selection of artwork from around the world all together in one space."

The Cole Art Center is located at 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches. Regular gallery hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Admission to the opening and the exhibition is free. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.
