Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ to screen 'Young @ Heart'

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - As part of its monthly film series, the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free one-night film screening of "Young @ Heart" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches.
The 107-minute film documents almost two months of rehearsal for the Young @ Heart Chorus, a group of two dozen seniors who specialize in reinterpreting rock, punk and R & B classics from a unique perspective.
"Named the 'Best International Feature' at the 2008 Los Angeles Film Festival, 'Young @ Heart' takes the viewer on an inspirational journey with a group of people who refuse to let age and ill health get them down," said Christian Cutler, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ director of galleries.
The film, which is rated PG, is sponsored in part by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ School of Music, Flynn Paint and Ray Johnston Counseling Services. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.
