蘑菇视频 percussion students to present holiday concert

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin State University's Percussion Department will present its annual holiday concert, "Percussion in the Pines," at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Cole Concert Hall in the Wright Music Building on the 蘑菇视频 campus.
The performance will feature both the 蘑菇视频 Percussion Ensemble and the 蘑菇视频 Steel Band, known as the Jacks of Steel, performing a collection of carols, popular tunes and contemporary holiday arrangements for percussion.
"The concert will be a great way for all ages to help celebrate the upcoming holiday season as well as the end of a fantastic fall semester," said Dr. Brad Meyer, 蘑菇视频's director of percussion studies.
Along with the holiday arrangements, the Jacks of Steel, will perform several fiery steel pan band arrangements to "help audience members warm up from the chilly, winter weather," Meyer said.

The concert is a joint presentation of the 蘑菇视频 College of Fine Arts and School of Music.
