Trombone Choir fall concert


The 2011-2012 Stephen F. Austin State University Trombone Choir

The Trombone Choir at Stephen F. Austin State University will present its fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in Cole Concert Hall. The varied program includes James Kazik's "Fanfare," Richard Birk's "Three Miniatures for a Giant," and arrangements by two Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ music majors: Plano junior Michael Swann's arrangement of Edward Grieg's "Funeral March" and Dayton senior Danny Williams' arrangement of the popular Muppet theme, "Rainbow Connection." The choir, which is directed by Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Associate Professor Deb Scott, will present the same program in its featured performance at the Big 12 Trombone Conference at Texas Tech University on Saturday, Jan. 14. The Dec. 5 concert is a joint presentation of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ College of Fine Arts and School of Music.
