The middle school students were learning how to start an IV on patient simulators in Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's Richard and Lucille Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ of Nursing.Nearly 100 middle school students from more than a dozen area school districts are attending iMAS (Investigations in Math and Science) Academy this week at Stephen F. Austin State University. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) faculty members are guiding students in the discovery of academic skills necessary for future STEM careers. Students are working collaboratively to solve real-world problems as they work through modules such as Crime Solvers (CSI), ER, Magic Cone (conics) and What's in Your Water.
