NACOGDOCHES, Texas - KSAU, the radio station of Stephen F. Austin State University, will be off the air for the next couple of months while its transmitter site is being updated.
The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Board of Regents recently approved the replacement of the 25-year-old transmitter, antenna and transmitter building.
"This will allow us to bring a clearer and more far-reaching signal to the surrounding area," said Dr. John Hendricks, chair of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Department of Mass Communication. "You will still be able to hear KSAU via online streaming at or through Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ's smartphone app."
KSAU plays alternative rock music and is operated by the students of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Department of Mass Communication.
