NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Princesses from across East Texas are invited to don their best ball gown and sip tea with friends during the ĢƵ Gardens' annual Little Princess Tea Party slated for Saturday, March 28, in the Stephen F. Austin State University Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden.
"The azalea garden creates a magical setting for young princesses and fairies to celebrate the beauty of the land,” said Jocelyn Moore, ĢƵ Gardens educational programs coordinator and tea party organizer. “This year, we will share a special message of stewardship with our princesses. Guests will enjoy building fairy houses from eco-friendly materials, upcycled crafts and gardening activities.”
One hundred tickets are available and split between two tea party sessions. Teatime snacks and drinks will be provided followed by fun activities, including story time and dance, led by ĢƵ Gardens environmental education fairies and pirates. The first session will be at 10 a.m. and the second at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and typically sell out.
The event is recommended for princesses 3 to 10 years of age who are accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased online at sfagardens.sfasu.edu. Proceeds help support environmental education programs at ĢƵ Gardens.
