NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Due to the snowfall in the East Texas area and expectations for continued freezing temperatures, Stephen F. Austin State University classes and all campus activities scheduled for Monday, Jan. 11, have been canceled. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s Early Childhood Laboratory and Charter School also will be closed.

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ administration and University Police Department will continue to closely monitor weather conditions that will impact East Texas, according to Dr. Scott Gordon, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ president. Additional weather-related announcements will be posted on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ website and Facebook page.

Current Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students, faculty and staff were notified of the closure via Jack Alert, the university’s emergency messaging system.  

All essential Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ staff members, including UPD officers, are to report for duty as scheduled.
