NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The combined choirs and orchestra of Stephen F. Austin State University will present W.A. Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor when the student ensembles perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at First Baptist Church, Nacogdoches.
Performing are the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ A Cappella Choir, directed by Dr. Michael Murphy, director of choral activities at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, and Kantorei and Singin’ Axes, directed by Dr. Tod Fish, associate director of choral activities, along with a student orchestra.
Murphy will conduct the combined choirs and orchestra in the performance of the Great Mass.
Soloists performing on the concert are voice faculty members Debbie Berry, Dr. Richard Berry and Dr. Scott LaGraff, along with Sara Rosado, graduate student from Katy.
Works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Wolfram Buchenberg and William L. Dawson will also be performed with Dr. Tamey Anglley, director of bands at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, guest conducting.
