NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Students in Stephen F. Austin State University’s ĢƵ of Nursing invite community members to a free drive-thru flu vaccination event Oct. 9-10 at the ĢƵ of Nursing Complex, located at 5707 North St.
In partnership with East Texas Community Health Services, fourth-semester nursing students in the community health course will administer traditional flu shots from noon to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10. The event is open to the public and flu shots are free. Children 4 years of age and older are eligible for a vaccine.
“Please consider getting a flu shot to help reduce your risk of illness and minimize the agony of flu symptoms if you do become ill,” said Michelle Klein, assistant clinical professor in the School of Nursing.
