You've got your sights set on veterinary medicine? Our pre-vet animal science program gets you ready for the rigorous journey ahead. You'll graduate fully prepared to apply to top veterinary programs across the country and around the world.
We know true agricultural education happens in the field and have you stepping out to work directly with plants, animals and equipment. You'll build an impressive résumé before you even cross the graduation stage. We offer various opportunities for you to participate in internships and community service projects. You can also conduct undergraduate research and assist with applicable veterinary procedures.
The pre-vet track
This science-focused emphasis prepares you specifically for veterinary school applications. You'll focus heavily on the prerequisites needed for advanced medical study.

All applicants must meet the undergraduate admission requirements. Select the option that best describes you:
- First-year student (have never enrolled in college)
- Transfer student (have enrolled in college)
- All other applicants
Ready to complete your application?
Undergraduate applications are accepted online. Apply using ApplyTexas or Common App. Both are fine, just only submit one.
Priority deadlines
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
