Applying to the biology master's program
Admission requirements
To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:
- meet the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Graduate School requirements
- achieve an undergraduate 3.0 GPA or higher overall
- and 3.0 GPA in biology-related courses
- and be one of the following:
- in your final year of undergraduate work
- holding a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- or have 95 or more semester hours of undergraduate work at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and be approved as an overlap student.
If you don't meet the minimum requirements, you may be admitted on a provisional basis under the guidance of the graduate studies advisor.

There are two options.
1. Non-thesis track with a comprehensive exam
2. Research thesis

Yes. An oral qualifying exam is given before the start of your second semester.
