Pursue a professional career
You will gain the skills to work as a professional actor or director on stage, in film or for television. This concentration prepares you to enter the industry with confidence or continue your training in a graduate program.
Curriculum offers a multitude of hands-on experiences, including sessions with visiting professionals. You also will direct or perform in short plays and a fully produces one-act-play with multiple ticketed performances.
Your training opens doors to a wide range of professional opportunities:
- Professional actor: Work on stage or transition to screen acting in film and television.
- Director: Lead creative productions, from short plays to full-length works.
- Acting coach: Help other performers refine their craft and artistic voice.
- Choreographer: Develop movement and performance sequences for stage and screen.
- Educator or administrator: Pursue graduate studies to work in academic, advisory or leadership roles.
