We know the only thing more stressful than getting into a university can be figuring out how to pay for it. The Department of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy has scholarships available to students wishing to study at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
Along with scholarship opportunities offered through the Office of Student Financial Assistance, we are proud to offer our students the following scholarships through the Department of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy.
Physics and Engineering Freshman Scholarship
This scholarship provides up to $2,000 per year to incoming students who demonstrate an aptitude for studying at a university level and who intend to study physics, the physics-engineering dual degree or the engineering physics program at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, and economic factor is not a requirement.
STEM scholarships
The College of Sciences and Mathematics has additional scholarships for students pursuing STEM majors.
University Regents Scholarship – Physics, Engineering and Astronomy
This award is for first-time incoming students at the freshman, sophomore or junior level who plan to major in physics or engineering. Learn more about requirements and renewals.
Getting started: financial aid
Whether you’re applying for a scholarship, or interested in a grant, loan, or work study program, you’ll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and make sure you meet certain academic and financial requirements. Don’t worry, financial aid isn’t as complicated as it sounds, and we’re here to help you before, during and after the application process.
