You'll learn to create engaging, and inclusive learning environments that promote physical literacy, health-related fitness, skill development and positive movement experiences.
A strong foundation in kinesiology is built through the study of exercise physiology, movement analysis, motor development and learning, and assessment and evaluation. You also will develop effective, evidence-based instructional strategies for teaching physical education in school settings for participants at all school levels.
Path to certification
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ's educator preparation program will prepare you to seek Texas Physical Education EC-12 teacher certification.
Coursework integrates foundational kinesiology knowledge with professional educator preparation in all aspects. Extensive field experiences and clinical teaching placements offer practical experience working with students' various learning styles. You'll develop the confidence and competence needed to begin your career as a physical educator.

- First-year student (have never enrolled in college)
- Transfer student (have enrolled in college)
