Chris Bentley, Class of '18

Development Officer

Chris Bentley received his bachelor's of business administration degree from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ and his master’s degree from Texas AM University. Prior to joining the Office of Development at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, he spent time with the Houston Texans and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Athletics, overseeing ticketing and fundraising initiatives. Chris is a proud Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time with his wife, Charity, daughter, Colbie, and golden retriever, Boudreaux.

David Carrizales, originally from Taylor, Texas, graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from Texas State University. Prior to joining the team, David spent 25 years working in corporate America and consulting. He served on the Boys and Girls Club for 11 years in Angelina and Nacogdoches County, where he was chair for four years, and he served on the United Way Board of Nacogdoches County for 11 years, where he was chair for two years. He continues to be very active in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife, Andie (a 2002 alumni of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ), their daughter, Alanna, and son, Dayne.

 

Will Chancey, Class of '21

Development Officer

College of Liberal and Applied Arts

Will, originally from Jacksonville, graduated from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ in the spring of 2021 with his bachelor’s in Business Administration. Later, he received his master’s degree in Business Management from Texas A&M University Commerce in December of 2022. Prior to joining the team here, Will spent some time in the oil and gas industry as an account executive where he represented midstream clients in the East Texas and Northern Louisiana region.

Chris Van Horn

Development Officer

Chris Van Horn, originally from Fort Wayne, IN, graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary/Special Education from the University of Saint Francis. Prior to joining the team, Chris spent 12 years coaching college football, including 3 years here at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. He spent the last 6 years teaching and coaching football at Lufkin High School.

Marc Lishewski

Development Officer

Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture

Marc Lishewski received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and his master’s degree from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. He has spent more than 30 years in various sales, marketing and national account manager roles within the building products industry, including employment with the Southern Forest Products Association, Temple-Inland and Georgia-Pacific.

Jessica Phillips

Gift Coordinator

Jessica is a Nacogdoches native. She joined the development team in fall 2018 and serves as the gift coordinator. Her responsibilities include stewardship, gift processing and matching gift efforts for the university and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµSU Foundation.

Jill Still, CFRE

Vice President for University Advancement

Jill Still is a Nacogdoches native who earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in business administration from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. Still has played various leadership roles in the Development Office for more than 28 years and was named Vice President for University Advancement in 2012. She also serves as the Executive Director for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµSU Foundation and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Real Estate Foundation.

Trey Turner, PhD, Class of '98 & '02

Associate Vice President for University Advancement

Trey Turner directs and manages the internal and external functions of Stephen F. Austin State University's Office of Development and is responsible for fundraising and development activities at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. Dr. Turner is a two-time graduate of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, receiving his bachelor's of business administration degree, with majors in marketing and political science, in 1998 and his master's degree in public administration in 2002. Dr. Turner received a graduate certificate in nonprofit management, with an emphasis in leadership and management, from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University in 2012. He earned his doctoral degree in 2015 in education administration from Texas A&M University.

Before his employment at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ in 2008, Dr. Turner spent 10 years working in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical and forest products industries.
