Oct. 12, 2026: Woodwinds, brass and percussion
Note: Columbus Day is not a university holiday
All-State Day is an exciting opportunity for band students to grow as musicians while experiencing life as a college music major at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. The day will feature focused masterclasses on All-State repertoire for both Texas Music Educators Association and Association of Texas Small School Bands instruments, led by Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ faculty who specialize in your specific instrument area.
Participants will connect with fellow band students, receive personalized instruction and gain valuable insight into the All-State audition process. You’ll also get a firsthand look at a typical day in the School of Music, including opportunities to hear university ensembles, tour campus and meet with representatives from the Office of Admissions.
Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., and the final event concludes at 5 p.m.
All-State Day is free to attend, and lunch will be provided.
A complete schedule, including lunch options, will be provided to students closer to the event.
