The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Press publication "The Road to Llorona Park" was recently named among NBC News' eight great Latino books of 2016. The book also was awarded the NACCS Tejas Fiction Book Award.

Native tree seminar to be hosted by Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Gardens


Chris Dempsey, senior garden technician for Stephen F. Austin State University's Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Gardens, will host a public seminar aimed at teaching participants how to select, plant and prune native trees from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Pineywoods Native Plant Center, located at 2900 Raguet St.

Exhibition to feature works from local art collections

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Topics ranging from discrimination in professional environments to poverty and race within the education system to the modern-day contextualization of Jesus will be discussed during the third annual Diversity Conference, to be held Saturday, Jan. 28, on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus.

Organized and hosted by Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's Office of Multicultural Affairs, the conference gathers East Texas professionals, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students and faculty members, and the Nacogdoches community to join conversations about various diversity-related issues.
