NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Gardens at Stephen F. Austin State University will host its monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in Room 110 of the Agriculture Building at 1924 Wilson Dr. A year-end review titled "Tales from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Gardens and Beyond" will be presented by Dr. David Creech.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company will present "The Complete World of Sports (abridged)" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28. The College of Fine Arts recommends tickets to the show as a unique gift.

The Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture at Stephen F. Austin State University was honored with four national awards at the recent Society of American Foresters national convention in Albuquerque, N.M.

Pop sensation Steve Lippia and his big band will present "Simply Sinatra Christmas" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in W.M. Turner Auditorium as part of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ College of Fine Arts' University Series. The vocalist is renowned for his authentic-sounding renditions of songs made famous by Frank Sinatra.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - A concert of classic songs performed in the style of one of America's favorite crooners is coming to W.M. Turner Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Stephen F. Austin State University horticulturist Dawn Stover will explain how beautiful holiday decorations can be made with items from the garden during a workshop on Saturday, Dec. 4. Using her years of experience as research associate in charge of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Mast Arboretum, Dawn will share easy techniques for making the perfect wreath and magnolia garland.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University combined choirs, Orchestra of the Pines and Nacogdoches Community Chorus will present George Frideric Handel's "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, in W.M. Turner Auditorium.

Handel's three-part oratorio, or unstaged opera, about the life of the messiah, was first performed in 1742. One of the most performed and popular choral works, it is appreciated by audiences all over the globe, said Tim King, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ professor of music and the concert's director.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present "Percussion in the Pines," a joint concert of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Cole Concert Hall.
