NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Dr. Ann Filemyr, creator of the poems included in the fine arts press book "Growing Paradise," will read from the collection at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.
The poetry reading is being held in conjunction with Stephen F. Austin State University's exhibition of the book's 18 silkscreen and letterpress prints co-created by local artist Liz Akamatsu and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Professor of Art Piero Fenci in response to Filemyr's poems. The exhibition is hung in the upstairs Hallway Gallery.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ reporting second-highest enrollment in university's history
NACOGDOCHES, Texas -Stephen F. Austin State University has recorded the second-highest enrollment in its history, with 12,903 students registered for classes. The university's highest enrollment, 12,954 students, was recorded in fall 2010.
Although the number of undergraduate students increased by 99, from 11,269 to 11,368, the number of graduate students decreased from 1,685 to 1,535. The number of first-time freshmen increased 10.5 percent, from 2,177 to 2,406.
