Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ finance students selected for UTIMCO Scholars program


NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Three finance sophomores from Stephen F. Austin State University’s Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ were selected for The University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company Scholars program this year.

Madison Custer of Spring, Davis Huddle of Houston and Raymundo Perez of Frisco form the second group of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students selected for this opportunity, which was made possible by the university’s affiliation with the UT System two years ago.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Stephen F. Austin State University will honor its 2025 alumni award recipients and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Athletics Hall of Fame inductees at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at The Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches.

This year, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s Division of University Advancement and Department of Athletics have joined forces to launch a new event format and name: Lumberjack Legacies. The spirited evening will honor the accomplishments and impact of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ alumni.

Hendricks completes two books, presents research in Morocco


NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Dr. John Allen Hendricks, professor and chair of Stephen F. Austin State University’s Department of Media and Communication, presented research in May at the Global Communication Association conference in Casablanca, Morocco, related to two books he recently completed.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Stephen F. Austin State University kicked off the 2025 fall semester Monday with its largest first-time undergraduate class ever. The university also celebrated its first increase in total enrollment since fall 2018.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students head north for lessons in Canadian culture and sports business


A dozen business students from Stephen F. Austin State University's Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ wrapped up their management course by exploring sports business, entrepreneurship and innovation in Canada Aug. 11-19.

"During this study abroad trip, students experienced not only Canadian culture but also how Canadians innovate, launch businesses and celebrate sport," said Dr. Jason Reese, interim dean of the Rusche College of Business, who led the trip with Dr. Robert McDermand, senior lecturer of sports business and management at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ announces 2025-26 Children's Performing Arts Series lineup


NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Students from area schools and families from the community are invited to the 2025-26 Children’s Performing Arts Series hosted by Stephen F. Austin State University’s Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts. Performances for each of the four touring productions will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the dates listed below in Turner Auditorium in the Griffith Fine Arts Building on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ campus.
