NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– The Stephen F. Austin State University chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management received several awards at the SAM International Business Conference in March in Tallahassee, Florida. Students from Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ competed with students from around the world in categories ranging from business pitch and extemporaneous speech to a case competition at the conference.

Austin State University’s School of Music has launched the Elliott String Quartet Fellowship, a new graduate-level opportunity designed to attract top-tier string musicians and enhance the university’s orchestral program. Austin State University business students will prove their skills on a national stage after earning top honors at the Texas Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate State Leadership Conference in February. Jessica Frasier and Julian Ieva, both students in Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s Rusche College of Business and members of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµâ€™s FBLA student chapter, will advance to the FBLA National Leadership Conference after securing top state-level placements in finance and public speaking competitions.
