Austin State University chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management received several awards at the SAM International Business Conference in March in Tallahassee, Florida. Students from Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ competed with students from around the world in categories ranging from business pitch and extemporaneous speech to a case competition at the conference.

Austin State University’s School of Music has launched the Elliott String Quartet Fellowship, a new graduate-level opportunity designed to attract top-tier string musicians and enhance the university’s orchestral program. Austin State University business students will prove their skills on a national stage after earning top honors at the Texas Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate State Leadership Conference in February. Jessica Frasier and Julian Ieva, both students in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Rusche College of Business and members of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s FBLA student chapter, will advance to the FBLA National Leadership Conference after securing top state-level placements in finance and public speaking competitions.
