NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Dr. Mary Olle, human sciences professor at Stephen F. Austin State University, has created a new experiential learning farm-to-table lab for students majoring in hospitality and food, dietetics and nutrition. Recently, dozens of students from two of Olle's production meal management courses visited Appleby Community Farm for a tour of the property, and to gain insight into managing and marketing a local organic community garden.

Due to predictions of inclement weather, the Stephen F. Austin State University Homecoming parade scheduled for Saturday morning has been canceled.

Madrigal Singers to perform music of Janequin, Rutter
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present the Madrigal Singers in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in Cole Concert Hall.
The Madrigal Singers is a chamber group comprised of upper lever vocal music majors at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. The group is well known in the Nacogdoches area, particularly for many caroling concerts at Christmastime, according to Dr. Tim King, director of choral activities for the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ School of Music.
Meyer, Lloyd to perform solos with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Percussion Ensemble
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music faculty members Dr. Brad Meyer and Keith Lloyd will perform solos when the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Percussion Ensemble presents a recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Cole Concert Hall on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ campus.
Meyer, director of percussion studies at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ and of the Percussion Ensemble, will play the steel pan on the premiere of Baljinder Singh Sekhon II's "Passageways," which utilizes the steel pan in new and different ways, including playing on the side and with wooden chopsticks.
