NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Linda Lehmusvirta, longtime producer of the "Central Texas Gardener" PBS show in Austin, will present "Bulbs for Psycho Lighting Gardeners" at the upcoming Theresa and Les Reeves Garden Lecture hosted by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Gardens.

The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in Room 110 of the Agriculture Building located on Wilson Drive on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ campus.

"The Med-Evuac" is a 38-inch by 50-inch mixed media drawing on paper featured in Charles D. Jones' "Chopper Blues," soon to be released by the Stephen F. Austin State University Press.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The weekend of Veterans Day will be celebrated in Nacogdoches in a unique way that both honors and recognizes the contributions of a select group of veterans and calls attention to works published by Stephen F.

"Chopper Blues," written by Charles D. Jones, professor emeritus in the School of Art at Stephen F. Austin State University, tells the stories of survival of the young men of Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th U.S. Marine Corps who fought in Operation Indiana.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Most of the young men in Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam in the spring of 1966 were only 19 or 20.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ hosted the eighth annual Texas Undergraduate Mathematics Conference in late October. More than 100 students and approximately 40 faculty members from across the state participated in the two-day event. Students attended talks, presented their own research discoveries and competed in mathematical competitions.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will welcome two guest artists who will perform recitals as part of the Cole Performing Arts Series.

The annual fall concert of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Percussion Ensemble is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Cole Concert Hall as part of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ School of Music's Concert Series.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Nacogdoches Naturally will sponsor a Family Outdoor Adventure at Stephen F. Austin State University's Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St., from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 3.

"Meet the Creepy Crawlers" is a fun event that provides an opportunity to learn about forest animals that slither, creep and crawl. There will be live animals, "creepy crawler" crafts and a guided safari hike.
