Guest pianist to perform with the Orchestra of the Pines

Jack Heifner, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ visiting professor and playwright-in-residence, is the author of "Vanities, A New Musical," which is slated to open on Broadway in February or March.

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Music Prep presents October recitals


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Music Preparatory Division of the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music will open its 2008-2009 performance season with two recitals in October.

Cello and violin students of Dr. Evgeni Raychev and Dr. Jennifer Dalmas will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Music Recital Hall of the Wright Music Building on the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ campus.

On Sunday, Oct. 26, piano students of Mary Cooper will dress in costume and perform their annual Halloween recital at 4 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall.
