Desk assistants are full-time students who serve as the first point of contact for residents and guests during desk hours. Responsible for individual desk shifts in their assigned buildings, DAs help answer student questions, direct phone calls, provide information and complete various administrative tasks.

Resident assistants and senior resident assistants are full-time students who also live in the residence hall. RAs and SRAs facilitate the social, educational, intellectual and cultural development of residents through developing a community within the residence hall.

These staff members are responsible for articulating the philosophy and policies of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and Residence Life to fellow Lumberjacks, representing the university as role models in all facets of campus life.

Residence directors and graduate hall directors are professional Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ employees living in the facility and are responsible for the entire building/area. RDs and GHDs serve as a resource for residents and help facilitate the educational, social and intellectual development of all community members living in their residence hall.
