Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ offers many exemptions and waivers, but students are responsible for applying these exemptions and waivers and ensuring they're processed accurately each term.
Note: Texas Legislature uses the words "exemption" and "waiver" interchangeably. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ does not.
Exemption and waiver application/processing deadlines
With the exception of the Hazlewood Act Exemption for Texas Veterans, the following deadlines apply for applications and processing:
- 20th class day during the full fall and spring terms
- 15th class day during the summer I and II parts-of-term
- 4th class day during Maymester
Late registration charges
Students are responsible for any tuition and fees not covered by the exemption and/or waiver. If those are not paid, late charges will be applied.
Enrollment or withdrawal by official reporting day
Students must be enrolled in all their courses for each term by the official reporting day for their exemptions and/or waivers to apply. Withdrawal from the university prior to the official reporting day results in the removal of exemptions and/or waivers from the student's account, which may lead to the student owing money to Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
