NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Hachidori Duo will present “Musical Dialogues” when the husband-wife duo performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in Cole Concert Hall on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus.
The Hachidori Duo was founded in 1998 by Jennifer Dalmas, violin, and Evgeni Raychev, cello, while they were each pursuing doctoral degrees in music performance at Florida State University. Since 2003, both performers have taught in the ĢƵ School of Music.

Richman, the 2006-07 Regents Professor, will present “For Faith and Fortune – The Significance of the First Crusade: 1095-1099.” He will discuss the history of the crusade and its lasting significance on the world.

According to band members Paul Driver, Jon Hall, Charlie Jones, Mark McLain, Robbie Roach, Craig and Michelle Smith, and Jesse Tingle, the band is East Texas' answer to The Old Crow Medicine Show, an Americana string band based in Nashville, playing old-time acoustic music using the fiddle, guitars, mandolin, banjos and percussion.
